Behavior Reduction Program
Behavioral Consulting develops behavior reduction programs for children who may or may not have a diagnosis but who engage in problem behavior. We conduct behavioral assessments in the home, school, or community setting to address a wide variety of disruptive behaviors. We determine the function of the inappropriate behavior through interviews, observation, and data collected and then teach a functional replacement behavior by utilizing both proactive and reactive strategies. Some examples of problem behavior include:
• Hitting
• Difficulty waiting or accepting "no"
• Kicking
• Noncompliance
• Biting
• Repetitive behaviors
• Scratching
• Difficulty with transitioning
• Urinating in public
